INDIA – Rajasthan – Escorted by possibly the best known breeder of the Marwari horse in India. Ride through the homeland of this elegant horse known for its unique lyre-shaped ears as well as for its spirit, a horse bred for battle but with such grace it is traditionally invited to dance at weddings. Beginning at Dundlod Fort, a ride through the Shekhawati and Marwar regions with Christmas spent at Nawalgargh and New Year's Eve at Roopangarh Fort.

ARGENTINA – Across the Andes – See in the New Year while crossing the world’s longest exposed mountain range. This trip is only suitable for experienced riders who are fit enough to canter for extended periods and spend long hours in the saddle. Start at Estancia Huechahue, a working estancia in the Northern Patagonian Lake District of Argentina and follow a route across the Andes over the Chilean border to Puente Barras, in the Chilean Lake District.

ECUADOR – Hacienda Ride – Ride in two distinct areas of the Andean highlands. Tread ancient Inca highways and Spanish colonial routes, staying at haciendas which have hosted the likes of Simon Bolivar, South American liberator, and scientist von Humboldt (who has an ocean current, a penguin, a skunk and a lunar sea named in his honour!). Great to tie it in with a trip to the cloud forest, one up from the rain forest.
